Download Festival 2015

It’s festival time again! As the line-ups slowly unravel and outrage inevitably takes over, – Kanye at Glasto, Mumford at Reading, and Faithless at Boardmasters (clearly ignoring the major successes of Dolly Parton, Jay-Z, Artic Monkeys and Snoop Dogg that were previously mired in controversy) – it seems one festival has maintained its roots and ensured a unanimously great line-up: Download Festival 2015.

Held at Donington – the home of rock – this year’s Download sees a heady mix of classic rock, modern metal, punk and hardcore combine for three days of hedonistic enjoyment. Highlights include Marilyn Manson headlining the Encore stage with his latest release ‘The Pale Emperor’ recently released, Slipknot headlining the first night, and Mötley Crüe – arguably the most exciting act – performing their last ever gig in the UK before they stop touring forever on December 31st. Granted, a lot of band’s have stated they are stopping before – ahem, Rolling Stones, – but Mötley Crüe have signed a secession of touring agreement ensuring the end to their live performances.

Other acts sure to put on a great show include: Code Orange, Every Time I Die, Backyard Babies, Defeater, Andrew W.K., Rise Against, Muse, Faith No More, Black Stone Cherry, Gnarwolves, Fightstar, Aaron Keylock, Allusondrugs and Beartooth.
