Fresh from winning Best Festival at the NME Awards, Glastonbury have confirmed their Friday night Pyramid Stage headliner, none other than Foo Fighters. Back in November the band publicly asked the festival to give them a call, with Emily Eavis stating that their appearance is long overdue.
The band, who released their eighth album, Sonic Highways, in November, confirmed their appearance while accepting their NME Award for Best International Band, “We’re very thankful and very happy – sorry we couldn’t make it tonight, but we will be seeing you over the summer at some big outdoor festival that nobody knows we’re playing. It’s Glastonbury! So we’ll see you at Glastonbury – thanks a lot everybody!”
Glastonbury Festival takes place June 24th-28th 2015. Tickets are already sold out but resale tickets will be available in Spring.
