Apparently this week is quite a good week for the synth bands to come crawling out of the woodwork. ‘Hey Love Hello‘ is a clean-cut gem of a synth-track from Welsh four-piece Nights. A band who, at this point in their career, feel more than aptly named as their two releases just feel like the musical embodiment of a night out.
‘Hey Love Hello‘ drips in downtown cosmopolitan visuals; it’s all about being cool, crisp and distinctly modern. The synths are all about new-wave clarity whilst the drum-beat and bass just lives and speaks the infinitely timeless language of funkiness. Think taxi rides through the neon of the nighttime cities. Think people emerging from their daily rituals to sink themselves deep into their nocturnal rhythms. Think about nothing else but letting this grooving bass-line settling over your bones and washing away the last vestiges of the day.
If you can’t feel your nocturnal life being soundtracked by Nights then seriously, it’s probably you that’s doing it wrong.
