Every few weeks, somewhere I know seems to ask “Whatever happened to Tom Vek?”. Listening to today’s Track of the Day I can’t help but be reminded of the great indie-electronic-pop-maker. That’s not to say Stats don’t sound unique; their sound is fresh, minimal and different to a lot of today’s music, but the mixture of the vocal style with the backing track brings back glorious memories.
