TGE Track Spotlight: Wild Cub – Thunder Clatter

This week saw the addition of 150 new bands to the TGE line-up which, predictably, set most of us here at 7Bit headquarters salivating and counting down the days until the festival kicks off (it’s 64 days just in case you were wondering). With all the anticipation, it’s only right that we take another day out to see one of the many delightful bands due to grace our shores in May.

Wild Cub are a band that came to 7Bit’s attention last January with the release of their debut album Youth; which went on to be one of my favourites (a highly contested accolade, let me tell you) and from listening to ‘Thunder Clatter‘, you’ll be able to see why.

A sunshine dappled gem, ‘Thunder Clatter‘ is full to bursting with beach-like percussion and tropical melodies that warm you from the inside out. The light, breezy vocals from Keegan DeWitt really help to make this track even more intoxicating– with a hook that’s so simple and so catchy that it will undoubtedly have the festival crowds hollering along in no time flat.
