‘Set My Heart’ should really be the single that paves the way for a bright and big gig-laden career for Sons & Lovers. These London lads have got whatever ‘it’ is, and it’d be a damn shame if there weren’t people with the keys to success around to open the right doors for them.
Even if people do get round to listening to the band’s other excellent single ‘King’ and take note of the band’s ability to showcase their variety in just two songs, it’ll most likely be ‘Set My Heart’ that gets the airtime and the greater YouTube/Soundcloud hit counter.
It’s been used on TV already to compliment a key moment in a show I don’t watch but lots of others apparently do, and for good reason: it’s a huge track, with vocals no less than perfect and the kind of rousing, anthemic instrumentation that makes hair stand on ends.
