Band of the Day: Coasts

Coasts, a ‘tropical-indie’ Bristolian five-piece, began life last summer after the band members met at university in Bath and relocated to play together and see what happened. They released their first single ‘Stay’ officially earlier this year, with two other great tracks – ‘Wildfires’ and a demo called ‘Breathe’ – released and discoverable through the usual indie band means.

It’s all but officially summer now though, and that gives Coasts the perfect opportunity to release another single and throw their track onto the ‘Summer Sounds’ collection. ‘Lions’ is catchy, upbeat and chilled and thus ticks all the right boxes for this time of year. So to does the rest of their work, but ‘Lions’ is the one to start with and a track worthy of complimenting one of those windows-down, idyllic drives on picaresque sun-soaked roads.

Their bookmark-worthy repertoire – including ‘Lions’ – is below. If you want to tell them they make good music, let them know here.
